Exploring Climate Change Impacts on Mental Well-being: new project WellAdapt examines consequences on climate adaptation decisions in agriculture
On 3 July 2020, students travelled with Dr Roswitha Kirsch-Stracke to Nieheim in the district of Höxter to see for themselves the success of a previous work assignment: in February and March, the group had made a contribution to the conservation of the intangible cultural heritage "Planting and maintenance of wattle hedges", recognised by UNSECO. The woven hazel hedge showed itself in top condition with many fresh shoots. Afterwards, the students travelled together with the local actors to the LWL Open-Air Museum Detmold, where they learned about the maintenance of other historical hedge forms.
