Final event in the Future Discourse & TRUST Lecture on 18 March 2020 in Hanover

"Making regions fit for the future: Identification as a building block for sustainable development".

New impulses for sustainable regional development can be gained from identification with one's own region. Experts from science and planning practice as well as regional actors discussed in the future discourse "Spatial Identities" how such regional identities can be used for a future-oriented development of regions.

The results will be presented at the final event and published there as an impulse paper with recommendations for action in practice. With a lightning survey and discourse islands, we will then devote ourselves to very practical aspects of identification and regional development before a keynote by Prof. Dr. Maja Göpel will take a look at the challenges of sustainable transformation processes for regions and thus provide a broader framework.

With lyrical and visual support as well as a marketplace of regions, we want to make the complex topic more tangible and look forward to an exciting afternoon with you! Our event is aimed at actors from regions, districts and municipalities who are involved in regional development, sustainability and change processes. We also cordially invite academics, interested associations, private individuals and the press to take a closer look at the topic of regional identification and to exchange ideas with us in the historic Leibnizhaus in Hanover.

Registration is no longer possible. The event has been cancelled due to the current developments of the Corona virus!
