A warm welcome to Lennart Stangenberg

In February 2025, Lennart Stangenberg has joined the Environmental Behavior and Planning working group led by Prof. Dr. Ann-Kathrin Kößler and will work in the FoResLab project

He is an experimental economist specialized in decision-making, information acquisition, and public good provision in environmental and climate-related contexts.

Lennart holds a BSc in Economics from the University of Tübingen and an MSc in Environmental and Resource Economics from the University of Kiel. In June, he will defend his PhD thesis at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. In his thesis, he examined how individuals and groups acquire and use information to coordinate actions in collective decision-making settings, with a particular focus on the challenges of climate change mitigation.

Beyond his academic work, Lennart is an avid football fan and enjoys learning languages.
