It is the declared goal of the German Federal Government to expand cooperation with India in various areas. An important component of this is scientific cooperation. In cooperation with the TU9 German Universities of Technology the German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) in New Delhi organised various events to establish and deepen cooperation between German and Indian scientific institutions. For example, together with the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, a workshop for young scientists lasting several days was held under the title "Integrated Engineering for Future Mobility". The working groups formed there will continue to work on various cooperation projects in the field of transport and mobility research in the future. The Institute for Environmental Planning is represented by Jonas Lamberg from the Spatial Planning and Regional Development working group.
At the "Indo-German Forum on Sustainable Urban Mobility", various organisations from science and practice in India and Germany were networked with each other. The Institute of Environmental Planning was also represented here by Jonas Lamberg, who contributed the perspective of spatial planning on future mobility research in a panel discussion.
The importance of the events for Indo-German cooperation was underlined by the fact that both events were opened by the German Ambassador to India and Bhutan, Dr Philipp Ackermann. The Institute of Environmental Planning is looking forward to further cooperation.
