Perspektiven geographischer Regionalforschung. "Locality studies' und regulationstheoretische Ansatze

authored by

Abstract

Today the media emphasize the international interlinking of economics and policy. The "region' is being re-discovered as a concept. New approaches are being developed hitherto little known to German geographers. The authors explain the regional level and, with reference especially to Silicon Valley (Santa Clara County, California), also explain the nature of "locality' studies. They aim to explain differentiation on the basis of the structure of an area. -D.J.Davis
