The "EU Blended Intensive Program" (BIP) took place again in the winter semester 2024/2025. It is a cooperation between Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), Stockholm University (SU), the University of Tours (UT), and the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna (BOKU). As part of the master's project "Future-Proof Planning for Small and Medium-Sized Towns" at the Institute of Environmental Planning, ten international students from the English-language master's program "Environmental Planning and Territorial Development" focused intensively on the small and medium-sized town of Celle in Lower Saxony.

In March 2025, the BIP included an excursion to Tours, France. Students from the four universities met there to spend a week working intensively on the challenges and opportunities of urban regeneration. They developed a strategy for the "Le Menneton" industrial estate. This project allowed students to address brownfield sites and discuss innovative urban development approaches from an international perspective. The collaborative efforts in valuable proposals for future development and provided the students with a unique learning experience. They had the opportunity to live and work on site while visiting small and medium-sized towns, such as Montlouis-sur-Loire and Amboise.
