As part of the Summer School 2023, students had the opportunity to explore the dynamic district of Vardaris in the heart of Thessaloniki. The article "Vardaris - A Central District of Thessaloniki" has now been published on Uuurble, an internet platfrom for reserching and describing cities and urban districts. Vardaris, known for its blend of old and contemporary elements, provided students with valuable insights into urban developments and local traditions. By focusing on the central areas of Thessaloniki, particularly the Vardaris-Xirokrini area near the city's Central Train Station, the spatial analysis offered a chance to reflect on a wide range of urban issues through urban planning and design approaches. The aim of the Summer School was to explore the connection between history, culture, and modern urban challenges. The results are now available at Uuurble.de.
