In mid-June, the courtyard at Herrenhäuser Straße 2 once again provided the perfect setting for an afternoon of conversation, connection and community. Staff from research, teaching and administration, student assistants, lecturers and alumni gathered at the Institute of Environmental Planning (IUP) to catch up with colleagues, reconnect with former members of the institute, make new connections and enjoy a relaxed summer afternoon together.
The event began with a fun icebreaker activity that quickly got people talking, followed by a shared buffet featuring a wide variety of homemade sweet and savoury dishes. Between animated conversations, children playing in the courtyard and group photos capturing the occasion, the afternoon highlighted what makes the IUP such a special place: a welcoming and vibrant community where professional collaboration goes hand in hand with personal connections.
A sincere thank you goes to everyone whose enthusiasm, support and delicious buffet contributions helped make this year's Summer Party such an enjoyable event. We are already looking forward to celebrating together again next year.
