The town of Leer in Lower Saxony is currently developing a climate adaptation plan. This prompted students of environmental and regional planning to take an in-depth look at the town’s water management as a key component of its climate adaptation strategy.
As part of their Master’s project ‘Moin Future! Climate Adaptation and Climate Protection for Small and Medium-Sized Towns’, the students analysed existing challenges and identified potential measures to strengthen water resilience. On Thursday 30 April, they presented and discussed their findings at an internal administrative event in Leer. Their research provides valuable insights into the development and implementation of effective water management strategies for medium-sized towns.
The students would like to thank the City of Leer for the pleasant collaboration and for the valuable support provided by the Climate Protection Manager, Ms Grätz, and the Climate Impact Adaptation Manager, Ms Heiler.
