In the ‘Teach and Tell’ series at Leibniz University Hannover, Dr. Lena Greinke presents an innovative learning format that helps students better understand subjects that are often perceived as dry. Students engage intensively with the topics by developing audio guides, acquiring knowledge in a creative way. This interactive process fosters a deeper understanding of the subject matter while promoting active participation and teamwork. This method increases students' interest and commitment while creating a lasting learning experience. Additionally, scientific findings become accessible through this method.

For example, master's students of environmental and regional planning developed two audio guides that lead listeners through the city centers of Hannover and Thessaloniki with the mascot ‘Sustainable Socrates’. At around 12 stations, listeners learn interesting facts about sustainable city centre development in each city. Image and video material is also available making the audioguide interesting for anyone who is not on site. As part of her master's thesis, ‘City centres in transition: from retail to multifunctional space’, Marzena Lenia Borchardt also created the ‘Audiohof’ audio guide.
