Ernst and Elisabeth Rudorff. Beginnings of nature conservation

Travelling exhibition "Ernst and Elisabeth Rudorff. The beginnings of nature conservation using the Weserbergland as an example".

On 18 colour posters in A1 format, the life and work of Ernst Rudorff (1840-1916) and Elisabeth Rudorff (1879-1963) are presented on the basis of archival documents and historical and current photographs. Even today, traces of their commitment to the landscape can be found around Lauenstein on the Ith and in other places in the Weserbergland, for example individual trees, avenues and hedge-grassland complexes designated as natural monuments. The designation of large parts of the Ith as a nature reserve also goes back to the work of the Rudorff family.
